Why we use Discord
How Discord sign-in works and why your account stays safe.
Discord sign-in uses OAuth, the same "Sign in with…" system used by Google, Apple and thousands of apps. It lets Discord confirm who you are without ever sharing your password with us.
Your account is not at risk
When you click Authorize, Discord gives Scarnox a limited key that only works for the permissions you approved. It can't read your messages, join servers as you, send messages, or change anything on your account.
What OAuth actually shares
| Permission | What we can do | What we can't do |
|---|---|---|
| identify | See your username, avatar and user ID | See your password, token or messages |
| See your verified email | Change your email or account | |
| guilds.join | Add you to the Scarnox server | Join any other server as you |
Why we need it
- Your orders belong to you. Your Discord ID links every order, ticket and receipt to your account.
- Support knows who you are. No "please verify yourself" back and forth.
- No passwords to leak. We don't store passwords at all.
- Community access. You're added to our server, where announcements and support live.
Can Scarnox take over my Discord?
No. The key Discord gives us can't sign in as you, can't read your DMs and can't make purchases. Only you can do those things.
Removing access
You can disconnect Scarnox at any time in Discord: User Settings → Authorized Apps → Scarnox → Deauthorize. Your orders stay on file; signing in again reconnects them.
Still unsure? Ask us anything in our Discord server.
